Hello from the guy who didn't read the directions
« on: August 04, 2019, 03:31:14 PM »
I've been a posting on LAF since 2010, but being the guy who doesn't always read the directions to anything I have never introduced myself until now... just noticed the "Introductions" page.  While this is not an excuse for my rude entrance into this great site, it is the reason.  I hope I have made up for it over the years with some interesting postings, supportive comments to other member postings, and timely, thoughtful responses to comments by others about things I have posted.  I am somewhat unique to this hobby in that I do not game and never have though when I began 40 years ago I thought I would be a gamer... just never caught fire with me.  That said, I lover the miniatures, painting, and putting together large diorama-style layouts.  I divide my time between 15mm military and historical miniatures and 28mm Pulp, Adventure, Victorian, etc.  My vanity website now holds more than 20 galleries of my collections, and on Sunday of each week I post my Weekly Workbench which shows the work I have done the previous week.  Once again, I hope I will be forgiven my late/very late introduction and please know that it was not out of disrespect for this wonderful website or its talented members.  Richard
I probably should say that if anyone is interested, my "vanity" website of my 15mm and 28mm galleries (showing not selling) can be seen at www.warin15mm.com

A belated welcome!

I've been here since 2006 and don't remember ever introducing myself, so don't feel bad.

Thanks to both of you.  I have been a fan of both your work for years.

lol - I was thinking this was a new guy and wanted to let him know this name had been taken.

I still remember the first gallery I found of yours - 28mm Victorian scenes. All the rest that followed are lovely too.

Thanks for the welcome.  I'm glad I'm not alone in missing the Introduction moment.  LAF has been for me an important part of this hobby I love for almost ten years... it's where I go to share what I have done and to learn from talented people how I can do what I do better.  Great place.

Your work is an ongoing inspiration to me Richard.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.
