Cool ECW unit in that second entry, and one gets the impression they're well painted.  Alas, it's more an impression than something that can be judged.  I'd love to see a close-up.

The photo in the first entry is a little out of focus, so these minis are sort of suffering from the same problem.  Nevertheless, I have to vote for what I can see better here.

Hammers has me in a bind here. I hate ECW3, but I love cricket! Those guys are great! I dig the mortar bombs being carried on the tea trolley. What shall I do?  :)

This one will be close. The first entry looks great, but the photo quality is a bit blurry. Nice looking figures though. The second entry looks nice, but the distance is a bit too far away to see the detailing. Overall I enjoyed both of these entries.

ECW3 (3rd english Civil war) or VBCW (Very British Civil war) 1938.... Edward decides not to abdicate and marry Mrs Simpson, the british Government walks out in a huff.

Edward asks Moseley to form a government, so the British Union of Fascists gets into power.

Many people object, like the Church of England, Unions, Torys, Labour.. and so a civil war starts in the UK, at the un britishness of Moseleys Policies

Scotland declares independance.

Think Spanish Civil war but with names you can pronounce, everything stopping for tea at 3pm, Bertie Wooster, Jeeves etc taking up arms against the rotter Moseley.

Lots of pre war equipment, very pulpy in England green and pleasant land

Ugh, can't choose, first entry is spot on for the theme round but as said a bit blurry. The second one, well, I didn't really get it but the replies here have helped. I hgaven't voted yet but it's good to see a new entry from Hammers at the very least!

As I am french speaker living near Italy, pronouncing a spanish name is as difficult as english one lol
Thanks for the explanations !

But I think my vote goes to the first entry, best painting in my sense.

I have sort of previously caught that you do, so that's one vote I took the risk losing. No worries mate.

I shall produce closeups as soon as it is considered, u-hum, cricket. There is some custom work in there I'd like to show off.

I must announce that my sheer joy at seeing little cricket men with a Vickers and a Stokes overcame my prejudice regarding ECW3, H.  :)

Potential caps for #'s 4 'n 5 from the left:

Bertie: I must say, there’s a jolly satisfying rattle to this Tommy! Let’s go and show those villanious Johnny... I say, Jeeves, who are we fighting today?

Jeeves: It’s the B.U.F., Sir.

Bertie:Oh… I say, aren’t they facists?

Jeeves: Yes, Sir.

Bertie:I though I remembered us fighting the Reds just the other day?

Jeeves: Most acute of you, Sir. The Worcestershire People’s Expropriation and Distribution Committee was ransacking the Angler’s Rest. Today it's Lord Sidcup’s Black Shorts who have gotten it in their heads to line up the workers of the brickyard before a firing squad.

Bertie: How very unsportsmanlike of them! Very typical of that brute Spode. Well, let’s go and show those louts what’s what, eh!

Jeeves: Very well, Sir. I shall cock the Lewis, Sir.

Interesting matchup. The themes are very different for this one. The first one fits in perfectly with the round's theme. It has lots of excellent elements and the painting looks very nice. The adventurers are spot on. I haven't seen these natives before and I really like them. The photo is ace.

The second shot is something I never could have expected :D. Sheer madness...love it! The work you put into the conversions and painting is terrific. The converted Ray is my favorite!
