The Baneblade Project.
« on: August 07, 2019, 07:33:13 AM »
I have always liked this very silly tank, perhaps less as a military vehicle and more a wacky AFV,what can I do with the model sort of thing. I like it’s vaguely Interwar design, however the cannons etc bug me rather a bit, oversized to being ridiculous,I have a cunning plan,in a way I intend to de-40K it,replace the barrels, carve off the imagery, and try and create something a little more realistic ( lol).
Starting the build tonight,we shall see by the weekend how far I’ve gone, perhaps with photos, really when I start to paint the thing will things get interesting,anyway...
Thoughts and comments welcome :)

Looking forward to seeing it  :)

I remember the original plans in White Dwarf and dragging my dad down to the local model shop to buy some styrene to make it... I never finished it of course  lol

What sort of guns are you going for?
cheers

Cheers fellas.
The guns will be 1/35 aftermarket barrels.  I probably won't  use the sponsons either, we'll see...first chassis side done :)

Excellent to hear someone is taking this on... I have often thought of doing the same so it will be interesting to see how much of a chore it is.

I'm looking forward to seeing some pix of progress :) .

How can you show it to anyone without all the skulls and eagles? lol

Doesn't everything?

I prefer this over the baneblade...

Still utterly silly - but my kind of silly.

I liked the baneblade kit - crazy sponsons and all.  Looking forward to seeing what you create.

I like the Baneblade because it always made me think of the Octotank from Venus Wars.

That’s very cool Elbows 8)

Well ,the Baneblade is almost finished, bar optics. I’ve used all the scale modelling techniques, filters all that malarkey...the trick is,I think I may save it up for the next LPL. Am I wrong?
