I like the idea of the second entry but I can't see the detail. Vert dark photos?
Love the eyes on Kong :-*
A shame some of the explorers are out of focus.

I LOVE the shaggy coats on the explorers in the second entry.  Alas, I can't see them well enough to vote for them.

Anyway, the paintjobs in the first entry are great.  It ocurrs to me that we're seeing the same minis over and over again in each entry.  I can't wait for the Captain to tell us the most popular mini of the round.

I've been counting and I think that Professor Witchheimer is just beating out the homely female archeologist from Copplestone castings... ;)

First entry looks fantastic...love the Giant Ape, and the figures look stunning.

Second entry has some fantastic conversion work done on the English with the fur capes. Great work!!

Good luck to you both.

Both entries look great but the second really suffers from being too dark. I just looked at both for the third time (on a slightly lighter monitor too) and went for the ingenuity of the second entry. The painting looks great (though the mammoth could use a bit more shading) and the snow looks great too! I really like the Kong (great eyes!) but the rest of the entry looks somehow rather familiar, we've seen a lot of such groups of five in the past LPL so I decided to cast my vote on something different.

Congrats to cwchmc on winning this turn. I must say it s just justice as I didn t pay any attention when making the picture. The minies have been painted sunday afternoon and I was just too bored to spend more time on the picture. Actually, and you cant see it on the bad picture, all the cavemen are converted as well as all the explorers with fur. I may post a better picture when the round will be over.

I have to say that I find cwchmc's entry very nice and that even with a good picture, it would have still been a tough match. Well, hoppefully, the LPL is over and I've managed to enter 9 entries and not quit before the end which is good enough for me. I'm now going to paint more and spend less time trying to find what could be a good entry for next round : This was my main trouble with the LPL and it was very time consuming. I won't even tell you about the few teams I've painted for some rounds and never shown because they were too "comon".

Thanks to all those who spent some time looking at my various entries, voted for or against me and left some nice or not so nice comments ( I tend to prefer the not so nice coments : they help to get better) !

The first entry is excellent but I'm voting for the second as it made me laugh out loud - if ONLY I could see it better, but alas the cheap Polish beer has won again...

Wait. Did I get that right? God, I've been watching too much day time television lately...

Awesome Kong sculpt! Where is he from? The painting on him rocks too. The adventurers are perfect. The lass in yellow is fantastic...love the colored band on her hat! The guys with shotguns are really cool too and make me want to order more miniatures. The Quartermainesque sculpt is one of the best adventurer sculpts I know.

The second entry could have been brilliant with better lighting. The humour is super and the execution too. Unfortunately the miniatures are somewhat hard to see. But what I can see rocks. The adventurers have excellent parkas and the natives are impressive by the their numbers alone! The Mammoth is well chosen and fits in perfectly.
