"Last Days" Project 28mm Zombies
« on: August 12, 2019, 01:27:11 AM »
Now that my 15mm Japanese project(still fixing the links for images in that one) is wrapping up I am working on a little zombie project.  My buddy showed me the rule book for "Last Days" from Ash Barker and it looked so good I had to buy it.  Now I have a rule set for all the zombie stuff I have been collecting for the last 10 years.  I decided to start with a horde of zombies and a trailer park using the trailers from Sarissa.

More photos to come, this is starting post to make sure my picture links are working.  Should be 4 of them showing off what I have done so far.

That is a good start.

The board looks great. Is that the base for a second trailer?

@ Ultravanillasmurf  - Yeah its a second trailer was just using it to gauge some space layout.

Started on a couple more trailers and will be reprinting the trees a little bit.  They are a little to thick for my taste on this smaller board.  (5 pictures)

Some stuff I have been doing to spruce up the board.  3D printed a kiddy pool for a "family trailer", some vending machines for the "park office trailer", started adding plasticard to the trailers to break up the flat sides.  I also have plans for a couple more trailers.

1. Cecil's Trailer - if you happen to watch LIVEPD in the USA you will see where this one is going.
2. Couch Trailer - will put an old beat up couch outside of the trailer.
3. Stripper Trailer - let your imagination work here.
4. Burned Out Trailer - want to show one that caught fire with some charred skeletons in it.

Some of these are built off of my zombie collection so far and will most likely grow as I order trailers.

That is a good list of trailers.

If you want to add some special lighting, have you seen:

I remember seeing strings of LEDs for model railways that might be useful.

Yeah, I have thought about some lighting effects and could build them myself.  Ouch 15 GBP for one light is way over priced for me.

I didn't get anything done last night since it was movie night in the house.  Godzilla II came out on Apple TV so the family and I had a nice night.

Not sure how to generate the television effect, but as you say £15 is quite high.

I am surprised no one does a laser cut television kit.

These two trailers are completed and I am now ready to start ordering more.  Noticed that adding the strips of plasticard is bowing the roofs upwards.  I used a little to much glue on them but its not to bad since it helps with taking them off and on easier.(Should be 3 pictures)

Might start working on my scatter terrain and zombies to have some smaller games ready with finished stuff.

Its a little hot a humid here in the Northeast of Pennsylvania but I managed to get some more work done.  My buddy gave me his trailer to build and paint up so it matches mine.  I have also been busy making more posters, newspapers, and caution tape for added effects.  Today is 3D design day so I am sitting at the PC drawing things to print.  (6 pictures, hopefully I have fixed the google image hosting issue)

This is looking very promising, and the details on the "gazette" are astonishing, but I am also fascinated how you store your paints.
