Empress NVA
« on: August 13, 2019, 06:27:44 PM »
For some reason I don't seem to be able to add the pictures direct to this forum so here's a link to a few pics of some Empress NVA painted using the new Citadel contrast paints with the flesh painted using Vallejo paints with a Nazdrag yellow overpaint wash and a few highlights added to the flesh and guns all over a Halfords Khaki base coat. They took about an hour and a half to complete. Very nice figures and I don't think they look too shabby.

Cheers Pete

Looking good Pete..... what colour green did you use for the trousers? I was debating the Citadel Death Guard Green for the washed out look but your green looks spot on!

The green for the trousers was approx two parts Contrast creed camo, one part ork green, one part plague bearer green then diluted with Contrast medium till it looked about right. Painting over the halfords Khaki undercoat really helps with greens. I've added a couple of pics of some of the Americans I've completed using contrast paints, the uniforms are a either militarum green or camo creed straight from the pot.

cheers

They look great. I have just received mine in the post yesterday. And am itching to get them colored in.

On your blog, right (or long on touch screen) click, on pop up select copy link address.
On Lead Adventures reply move your cursor to where you want the image and then click on the image button (if you squint it is the one with the Mona Lisa on it).
This will insert open square bracket IMG close square bracket open square bracket /IMG close square bracket. Right (or long) click between the bracketed text and paste the URL from your clipboard.

Rinse and repeat.

Of course this all depends on your machine allowing you to copy URLs, my tablet has sulks sometimes and refuses to consider copying them.
