Damn, EU customers have to add 20% tax to those prices apparently. I really don't understand not showing the full price, isn't that against the law? :?

I ordered some Mirliton (re)releases from http://www.miniature-heroes.co.uk/ - not the full range but Tim thought he get hold of most of them. The link seems to be having some server problems at the moment though.

A bit of a delay as he ordered what I needed, but a very good service and it avoid any hefty postage or customs charges.

That's very useful info. I'll have to look into ordering from him at at some stage.

I checked with Tim Fitch at Miniature Heroes who is a UK Mirliton stockist. Tim says:

"I think I might be able to help you there  http://www.miniature-heroes.co.uk/browse/mirliton-miniatures/non-fantasy/page-1.html

Mirliton shuts down for the whole of August so to get an order in before they do I need to submit it on Friday morning ( 3rd July ). Effectively its buy now because the next order will be 1st September with a delivery date in the uk 16 days after that."

Hope that helps.

Hello, I'm Tim from Miniature-Heroes.

I had a mail pointing me in the direction of this thread and so I hope this might be of interest to some of you.

  http://www.miniature-heroes.co.uk/browse/mirliton-miniatures/non-fantasy/page-1.html

Mirliton shuts down for the whole of August so to get an order in before they do I need to submit it on Friday morning ( 3rd July ). Effectively its buy now because the next order will be 1st September with a delivery date in the uk 16 days after that.

I have none of these ranges in stock at the moment, this is all on a pre-order basis. Currently I've set the cart to display 2 of each item. Should you want more of a particular item please let me know and I'll amend the cart display accordingly.

Hope this is helpful,

Regards

Tim

I've painted all of them except the clowns and the huge doctor with foreceps, many years ago.

Grenadier had, for some short time in the 1980, sculptors in both the US and the UK.  The US stuff was small to normal 28mm size.  The UK stuff was MUCH bigger, nearly 1/48th scale.  I was extremely disappointed at the time.

So, no, Mirilton has not remastered the castings.

Grenadier minis usually had more to scale bulk than Ral Partha.  I have seen some recently, and they are noticeably 25mm in scale.

Ooh, I used to have those clowns back in the day. I wonder what happened to them. A good solid 28mm figure if we're still talking scales - won't have any trouble fitting in with most regular ranges these days (especially as the clown minis are all different height anyway).
