PoetsPMC/Isaacs Weird WW2 Page
« on: August 19, 2019, 01:35:30 PM »
Hello Weird Wars! This will be a thread where I’ll post mainly Weird WW2 miniatures and sometimes terrain. The miniatures will be 28mm for the most part, and will mostly be for K’47 and Pulp Alley. I hope y’all enjoy the pictures and AAR’s. I’ll start by posting some Waffen-SS Vampirs for K’47. I’m going to use them as Waffen-SS squads but I figured I’ll come up with some lore for the 12th SS Vampir Jugend Division. In any case the first squad are recently turned vampires so they have a more pale skin tone, as well as some bandaged bite marks on a few.

I like the paint job on the raised nacht-soldat.

Looking forward to more....

Your thread from 2013 actually inspired me to make some Werewolf’s to use as heavy infantry. If you don’t mind me asking what models did you use for your werewolf conversions? Also thank you for the kind words

I’m debating whether to keep them as Vampir Jugend or to name them 666th Waffen-SS “Nosferatu”.
Also here’s some wips of the second more experienced Vampirs, I decided to use a dark purple wash to give them a more unique skin tone.

Heavens - was that 2013! Man where did the time go?...

Anyway - I used the West Wind SotR range Jaeger Werewolves and Wolf Runners with resin weapons from JTFM (or maybe Company B and apologies to both excellent companies for not keeping it straight) and metal weapons from the Assault Group.

I've had more of each as well as some Bolt Action metal with head-swaps and minor mods converted and green-stuff'd sitting on my paint table since maybe 2015. Funny enough my older boys (11 and 9) just asked to play Weird WWII. They may see some paint soon.

All this was before the "plastic revolution" hit its stride. Now days I think some really cool stuff could be done. My first idea is mixing Northstar Cultist with BA Grenadiers.

I used the Doctor Who micro universe werewolf (bought when they were cheap in Poundshop) - never thought of arming them!

Thank you for all the kind words and support. Now that I’m in quarantine with only models and coursework to do more is on the way. Here’s some stuff I forgot to post.
