I've given up buying from one company, they've so often sent the wrong thing or nothing at all. I won't mention their names, but in addition to the 10mm I specialise in (and for which they charge abnormally high prices) they cover every other scale known to science.

That aside, I've been happy with service from Newline, Reiver, AIM, and Obelisk (the last three of honoured memory), Steve Barber, Kallistra, and Minifigs (are they still in action?); and Pendraken's service I cannot praise as it deserves.

The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.

there are bad traders, indeed, but there is a pathetic universal postal service ...
sometimes UK to France in 3 days
sometimes UK to France in 4 weeks
and ( but less common ) sometimes "lost somewhere" ...

( and it's not better from France to UK or elsewhere )

never had problems with most of the traders , for the others
i always use Paypal , and never wait 4 months for a reply ... ( except for Kickstarters  ;) )

Try keeping your hobby going from Bangkok!  lol

Yeah a lot of small UK businesses, my own included, are starting to seriously struggle because of Brexit.

It's a lot of stress, it's a lot more work, it's a lot more expense, and it's a lot less profitable as Sterling continues to collapse in value, and costs go up, and postage, etc, etc, etc.

The UK is a very hostile place these days to run a small business.

This is a forum for hobbyists, run by hobbyists, so I wouldn't dictate as to whether an individual can criticise the service they get from a manufacturer or not.

What I have to be aware of is if there was a sustained campaign here against a company, it might be viewed by them as a form of black marketing by me.

Luckily no such thing has happened, and probably won't, but it is something I'm sensitive to.
