You could look at the Siege of Orleans (1428-29).
There were a lot of small actions plus a few big battles. There are lots of characters, and some very interesting military actions.
e.g.
Raids on food
Scouting
Raids on enemy camps
Extensive use of siege artillery
First use of snipers to target enemy commanders
Parts of the city destroyed by defenders, then skirmishes in the ruins.
Caravans of wagons being attacked (Battle of the Herrings was the biggest but there were many smaller actions).
Reinforcements being smuggled into the city
Bridges destroyed and then assaulted with ladders to span the gaps.
