Hot Glue Gun?
« on: August 24, 2019, 07:35:55 AM »
I have recently started using a glue gun to place trees and bushes on bases, but I have noticed that it always leaves a thin string of glue when I use it.  Is this a normal thing that happens with a glue gun or am I doing something wrong?

It does do that. Controlling the flow of glue helps, so that glue does not carry on leaving the gun after applying the glue.

When I glue, before pulling the glue gun away, I put the nozzle on the surface to wipe off excess glue and then swipe out to the side to reduce the effect. if a strand of glue does follow, it is easier to get rid of if it just falls to the side - it doesn't get snarled up in the higher structures.

This is quite common but the strands are easy to remove.

I find that different glue sticks can make a difference, but I don't think it's a big issue.

When you finish your build just give it a blast with a hairdryer.
That usually takes care of all the tiny whisps, not to long though or you'll start to melt the rest of the glue again.

Cheers,

That's the main problem with glue gun.....
but can easily taken off ...with the hot head of the gun for exemple.  o_o
