Not sure Disney will release DVD's of the shows they are counting on to bring in subscribers.  Maybe a season or two late?

I watched the first episode and really enjoyed it. It is an intro episode and I don't think they wanted to get into too much at once. I do classify myself as a SW fan. That said, I also love to see anything in the SW verse that breaks away from the Skywalker saga. I think Rogue One and Solo were better than Force Awakens and Last Jedi. Also I do think if you have seen Clone Wars & Rebels animated series you will know a lot more about what has gone on with the Mandalorian. It gives you some perspective on what is going on. If you haven't, you'll probably just view him as another Boba Fett bounty hunter. Anyhow, I am along for the ride and looking forward to the next episode.

I liked it a lot..
Not much talking, very spaghetti western feel (even to the beast taming to ride scene)

Imho it lost its tempo a little with that ranch scene - but it wasn't that bad.

Disney made huge mistake providing such wanted series in such limited markets unless its an exercise in market reasearch.. I guess it will be one of the most pirated series to date. I would totally buy D+ to see it legally (although i heard that the platform itself does not work properly)

Completely agree. I had to resort to downloading it as a MP4 to view it.

Same here; the subtitles cut off at irregular intervals, and I had to leave the show on pause for about five minutes when it was only in its title sequence, because it had to buffer. Looks like their bandwidth is not yet what it should be.

We've had it (as a free trial) in the house for about a month or so, and the few things I've watched on it al had the same issues. The library is still very spartan, in the sense that there's very little there drawing my interest.  And those things I would maybe watch (again), I've long had the DVD/Blue-ray of anyway.

I saw the first episode, and had a good time, but now that I have to start paying for the service, I've decided against it. It's good, but it's not €6,99 per month good.

Then again; to be fair, Netflix had the same issues back when it started out over here, so I'm sure D+ will improve over time. Me, I will probably end up buying the DVD/Blue-ray boxed seasons...

I watched it and thought it was decidedly...okay?  A few cool moments, but I think I was expecting more gritty/dark...and then remembered this is a PG-13 Disney franchise thing now.

Story seemed a bit abrupt, and I found the general sets and costumes are bit too clean/fake dirty (but I was watching it on my brother's mega-TV so that highlights all of the tiniest things - it'd probably be better on a slightly lower definition screen).

Werner was a neat surprise.  The highlight was the animation of the droid.  Was not engrossed (and didn't run to my brother's place to watch the second episode this evening!).

I'd say if you're not currently able to view it, you're not missing out.  It's a neat Star Wars show, but nothing breath-taking.  A few months won't hurt.

I think it’s ace.

Why couldn’t the sequel movies be that cool?

Honestly how hard was it?

Well worth what I paid for it.

The Guardian disagrees  lol:

https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2019/nov/12/the-mandalorian-review-star-wars-jon-favreau

While the Guardian got it wrong on Rogue One and Solo it hits the mark on the Mandalorian. It started really slow, has an expressionless main character and picks up absolutely no speed in episode 2. And it has a Deus ex machina alien. The next episode will probably be third strike and out.....

Might want to stick a 'spoilers' notice on this if there's anything given away, as a lot of us can't get Disney + yet!
