Codsticker, NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Rule No. 1) of the Wargamer, 'Never, ever, throw ANYTHING away'
You can:- give it away: Use it now, or (my favourite) put it somewhere 'safe' until you need it.
The third option has a plus side for such roots, they dry out nicely, but the down side (for me)
is that I often forget where the 'safe' place is. I sometimes have been known to forget what
I have squirrelled away. Then there is the fun part of discovering stuff all over again, well
it keeps me happy, doesn't cost much & the wife does know where to find me.

As if I didn't (still) have lots to do, I have ordered a force
of 1/200th modern French vehicles from Butlers Printed Models.
I blame Flatpack for this, he has been teasing us with his Modern
project (see posts on LAF) which go back several years. I got
involved by doing bits of scenery for him. Now, as it looks like he
might have found a set of rules he likes, I feel I want to be able to
put some troops on the table. He has Russians & Brits, I didn't fancy
USA (equipment too good), West German (too disciplined) or other
Warsaw Pact (look like the Russians) so (in my tiny mind) it had to
be... FRENCH!!! So here goes. More pictures as I paint them.

Over a year ago, can't be precise as the search system keeps ignoring me,
I listed a purchase on 'Things found at Poundland' Two toy boats.
As a reminder here is a picture.

Well I finally got around to doing something with them.
Hacked the two down to waterline, & not being one to throw things away,
turned the hulls into barges, to be towed by the boats. Flat topped, so
capable of transporting supplies or troops.

Now for the other boat & barge.
The barges can be turned over & represent wrecks.
Oh & I was left with an off-cut, so 'waste not want not' it
became a half sunken wreck. Useful as an obstacle to river traffic.

Ingenious! I love how your mind sees all this in bits of crud! I would never look at a kids bath toy like that, brilliant!

Considering you make jungle trees from wire & latex,
I will happily take that as a compliment.

Thanks Guys. My 'Navy' is no match for Flatpack's, but it does
give me something for 28mm skirmish games, be that:-
Pulp Ally, VBCW, WW2 or Askari (WW1 East Africa) or what ever.
Big bonus, the 'Fleet' cost £1 !!!!

As the wife says - you can look at a bottle top and voila - a spaceship. Very impressive series of differing constructs. Pieces of art really.

Progress on my modern French.
I have separated the AFV from their sprue/scaffolding.
A LOT of fiddly work, not helped by:-
My fat little fingers,
Aged eye-sight,
Lack of knowledge of Modern French AFVs (Is that bit model or sprue?).
However I am pleased with the progress.
In the entire order only one problem, one too few of one type of turret &
one too many of another type. I have e-mailed BPM & they are on the case.
