Review of Forgotten World’s Living Dead Peasants
« on: August 31, 2019, 02:04:48 PM »
This week I got an early look at the Living Dead Peasants by Fireforge Games.  They are some nice looking minis taking undead zombies in a neat direction.

This article includes sprue shots, scale comparison photos and pictures of unpainted minis.

Thanks for sharing. Plenty of parts on the sprue ( Renedra? ), but the clothes look a bit too clean for me, like they died only a couple of hours ago. Was exited when they announced it, but not sure I'm going to buy a whole set. Probably will get me a sprue for the parts...

I am thinking about buying them and I find your review quite informative.
Thanks

Nice review.  These (oddly) are the kit that I think helped push the Kickstarter to completion.  Loads of people/gamers need zombies or mindless ravenous hordes.  A quality (yet simple) nice plastic kit for dead peasants is a brilliant idea.

Something tells me these will be appearing everywhere.  I know I want at least one box.

Thanks for the review! I am always looking for armed (living) peasants. How many of these heads/bodies would you say would qualify for a historical peasant rebellion?

They do seem a little fresh for a bunch of corpses, but I suppose it's easier to rip them up a bit via conversions and painting than to "clean up" a really rotten and battered zed.

All those comparison shots and none with a GW zombie?  I wonder how they scale up and how cross-compatible the parts might be between kits?

I'm pretty sure they have a living version as well, but those haven't been released yet.

Sprues look very useful especially for conversions. Don't think i would buy a whole box-a sprue off fleabay is more likely to join the bits and bobs pile

You would be right on that one. I believe it was one of their stretch goals.

Nice review! How do they size up with GW zombies?

That was going to be my question as well.

I can't speak for the Undead fellers but the basic infantry are GW-scaled/proportioned - however that is in reference to the proper Fantasy miniatures - not the every-increasing scale of AoS.

I think they are absolutely marvellous! I definitely want to get some at some point, but my backlog is too big.

Thanks for the review.

I'm looking forward to getting mine soon (October?) along with the Living Peasants.
