Tiger Miniatures NWF compared to WF NWF
« on: September 05, 2019, 09:25:41 PM »
How do the Tiger Miniatures (Recreational Conflict in the US) NW Frontier figures to the Wargames Foundry Line? Larger, smaller, the same?

Thanks,

Frank

They are much larger and are more crudely sculpted in my opinion

I agree with Shipka's comparison.

Reminded me I bought Tiger Minis Boar War wagon is use in Wild West game. Need to finish base.
Driver moved onto Redoubt wagon. He is very large approx 35mm. Doesn’t help sat next to small Dixon figure.
They are very basic like 70’s early 80’s figures.

Any recommendations on any line that fits in with Wargames Foundry and Old Glory?

IMHO Perry and Empress colonials are not that much bigger than the older Wargames Foundry and Old Glory colonials.  I would also include Pontoonier Miniatures who make a nice 28mm Third Burma War range c. 1885 with British, Gurkha, and Sikh Infantry suitable for the NWF; Australia's Castaway Arts who make a ton of colonial troops, including NWF British, Indian, and Tribal forces; and Australia's Eureka Miniatures, who have one set of Sikh Pioneers c.1880 and one set of Punjabi Pioneers c.1880 in their Colonial range.  IMHO the NWF figures from these 3 companies are also on the smaller side and fit pretty well with Wargames Foundry and Old Glory.

Here's a couple of links to old posts from my blog that include some FIGURE COMPARISON PICS like the one above...

***The second link mostly features Perry and Empress figures but does include a few Copplestone, Castaway Arts, Pontoonier, Old Glory, and Foundry figures as well***

Thanks Mad Guru,

Looks like it will be WGF, Perry and OG and maybe some Castaway - I like the look of their figures - even if they have to be stand alone units.

All the best,

Frank
