Have you considered a musician and banner bearer?
Is the only figure holding the spear-upright the only one in a "foot on rock" stance? i.e. is there one with both feet on terra firma?

Thanks. I get the hate for 'foot on the rock' miniatures, in this case though I specifically made them so when you rank these guys, single or multi base, you have variety of height and movement - foot on rock guy looks great in the middle and rear ranks.

The right spear arms are all separate, the set comes with 4 thrusting forward, 2 overarm thrusts and 2 vertical/upright at ease. There's also 4 loose spears and arms with empty hands in the set so you can create as much variety as you want. Even the thrusting forward arms can be raised vertical and still look good.

Definitely yes to musicians and some type of banner. I've even got designs on Ballista and Polybolos artillery. Single part rank filler hoplites exist with all spears upright/vertical, they're in the queue for mould making.

Lots to share over the coming weeks and months, it's a solo operation at the moment so a slow start but release momentum will be pretty steady once it begins.

I am super interested in what you have showed untile now. I've been looking for more fantasy hoplites and greek infantry in general.
With the recentish realease of Saga AoM and my purchase of the incredible minotaurs made by Zealot I'm in need of proper infantry and yours look excellent!

I can't wait for them being on sale, do you have an ETA for the shop opening?

In modern greek we use the same word for machine gun. It literally means the one that shoots many times.

To be fair it only entered my vocabulary recently after googling "ancient greek bolt thrower'. Similarly 'gastrophetes' sounds like a hipster restaurant... so I'll just say crossbow.

My humble little webstore is now open - https://www.edinburghminiaturecompany.com

I'm in the 'pre-order' phase for the next 7 days while the site is finished (mostly image uploads and formatting the mobile version) and then I'll share the tentative release plan covering the rest of the year in the coming weeks.

As ever, thanks for any and all support.

I'm not normally a lover of hoplites but these guys look great. Some scale shots against existing ranges might be an idea for the shop.

Cheers lost egg.

Some early stage WIP shots here. Once the full Atheros (Blue) range is out, I'll do a phalanx of 'Movie Spartans' shown here, along with undead.

gotta wait for those spartans now  :-*

something I feel is worthwhile pointing out, you may want to do something for the search engine indicization (dunno if that's even a word)

I searched the name of the company on google and all I can find is either a whiskey company that sells miniature bottles of whiskey or the facebook page.

and it's a shame really, since your minis are really cool!
