The Inn
« on: September 17, 2019, 10:45:34 AM »
This could go in a number of time frames on the forum so I picked the one in the middle.

I painted this fantastic model recently having been given it as a 50th birthday present by chum Jerry. Pretty pleased with the end result, lots of pictures on the blog for anyone interested.

Very nicely done.  That looks quite large - dimensions?

Tried to visit their website and find lots of sellers but no website for H and A.  Are they still in business?  At least one site was sold out on every single code.

I've never had a problem ordering these buildings from wargamescenics.com.  I am in the US, so I don't know if that is an option for you though.

Should be seen by moonlight, I think. Smugglers lugging casks of tea and brandy and such dangerous drugs....

Lovely model.

Just a note, I did see the availability of the inn from some sources but I was curious about whether the company, Hudson and Allen itself, is still in operation.  You'd think they'd have their own website by now.  I was hoping to see if they had dimensions - not that a 25 mm building will fit with my 15 mm figures!  Might want to use it as a basis for a scratch build once upon a day not here yet.

Thanks for all the kind comments, it seems to have created a bit of interest.

I have no idea if Hudson and Allan themselves are still going, I got my models from Vatican Enterprises who were good to work with. Obviousley shipping, exchange rates and duties all come into play when bringing it in from the US but worth it I feel for the quality of the models.

Couple more to paint then I may have to order som more of the highland cottages.
