Have you seen the new "light Elfs" for AOS?
I think they would work out pretty well for this project.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Thanks for the tip! But I'm 99,9% sure this project will end with the models I already have. Its biggest inspiration was to give a nice unified theme for my leftover high elf models.

Planned Unit Progression:

[ x ] Blood Knights (on Foot)
[ x ] Silvermoon Guard (mounted)
[ x ] Spellbreakers
[ x ] Farstriders
[ x ] Warlock & Felflame Elemental
[ x ] Sorceress (on Foot)
[ x ] Hero (on foot)
[ x ] Blood Knight Lord (mounted)
[   ] Blood Knights (mounted)
[   ] BSB
[   ] Wizard (mounted)
[   ] Demon Hunter (Hero on Foot)

...although... if someone has a good suggestion for an Arcane Guardian, I might want to include one in the set!

Man these high elves look better with an evil paint job!

I agree. I've always liked the High Elf range from GW and the normal paint job is great, but something about this dark and red scheme absolutely works wonderfully.

Group shot of the recently finished models. 4 spellbreakers to complete the unit and the mounted hero. In addition, I slapped paint on an old Teclis to add one extra mage option to the army. I didn't strip the prior paint, so the result was a little bit messy. No close-ups.  :D

Nice stuff :) You might like the Wold Guardian from Privateer Press' Circle Orboros faction for your arcane guardian, potentially.

Thanks for the suggestion! It's otherwise pretty good, but I diss the hands/arms.

#12a Mounted Blood Knights
(Models: High Elf Silverhelms)

2/8 of the unit-in-progress.

These are a tad more brightly colored than the original Blood Knights (on foot). I hope the difference is not too striking. Doing some comparison shots after the front line is complete.

Here's comparison to the older Blood Knights. A bit more vibrant in color. But they still fit in... I think?

Thanks, Ockman! While finishing the last pieces, here is one more comparison shot between different-colored riders.

8/8. Finally full unit. But yeah, the front rank pretty much captures the visual.

#13 Felfire Edition

Regular flames didn't really pop from all that red and gold. I experimented a bit with Felfire and unleashed it upon these poor archers.

Note to self: Need to give those bows another highlight.
