Done; pretty much 'straight out of the box', but did add an extra pouch to each just because there was enough space on the belt.

Just seen these on Facebook as well mate, excellent work as always. Mine are arriving tomorrow, I did wonder about the gap in the webbing, I'm going to fill mine with a respirator pouch, can't remember ever not having one on my webbing in the 80s. Not like today where we give CBRN (NBC) the ignoring it deserves lol

I was thinking about having a go at the resi pouch, but didn't want to cover the bayonet scabbards, that someone did a very nice job of sculpting; well that's my excuse for not trying anyway...

Don't worry the next batch is now sculpted and we have added the respirators to those. We have a plan and that's why the gap  ;)

Got sent these a while back by Anthalonica Wargaming, resin test casts.
Finally got around to chucking some paint at them.

"Chucking some paint at them" lol cracking work as always. You've reminded me I've got a load more of these to do.

Amazing how he just "chucks paint at them" and it forms a neat Sillitoe Tartan...

Nice painting.

Not a brand of figures I recognise.

A little break from the Vietnam project; converted some of the ANZAC SASR blokes to represent a late 1980's British STA (surveillance & target acquisition) patrol (HAC).
The Bergens are a little bit on the big side, tried scratch building them, two were ok'ish, but eventually scrapped the others and used a couple from the Falklands British SAS pack.

They look very good.

The Bergens are not big, they are just well packed.

Cheers.

I think its more the length of the rather well sculpted frames of the metal ones is a tad too long for these figures. Bottom of the metal frame would sit ontop of your belt kit with the top, with the shoulder strap attachment point, in line with the top of the shoulders.

Here's the other two:

Bloody lovely! :-*
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo

Thanks chaps.
I just chopped (razor sawed) everything off the backs of the figures (managed to salvage the pack & radio), added some apoxie sculpt pouches and the bergens.
Chopped off the extra fore grips on the rifles (added a barrel to one that had come off).
Added the hoods, and closed the gap at the bottom of the shirts to try to look like windproof smocks. Then added the wooly hats to a couple (apoxie sculpt).
