Fresh forces for the DAK: final additions for the moment
« on: March 04, 2020, 05:28:59 AM »
Cheers guys,

finally managed to finish some support for my early DAK. A Rubicon Panzer IV E, great kit, for some heavier support and every wargamers dream on early Germans, a small mounted Kradschützen Squad. These are by Warlord and I have found them to be a little painful. Some sidekart and all Sozius riders are slightly converted other miniatures.

Cheers Robin

Wonderful job on the panzer. Seriously weatherbeaten!
I’ve made and painted that model myself not so long ago. It’s a wonderful kit.

Yes , I like how you’re building the squad and how you’ve mounted the bikes .

Nicely done Robin...hairspray method on the Pz IV? Also, any reason you didn't add the grab handles above the turret hatches? Looks good!

Thanks guys!

I have used AK interactive Heavy chipping fluid for this. For me this is the easier and more flexible solution. For the bikes I used salt / hairspray, but I dont like the method.

Only reason for the left of handles is laziness  ::) might tackle this once I add stowage and the commander.

Next up three NCOs on dedicated bases.

Only one gun and a tank left and the army is done until the new Panzer III from Rubicon hits the tables.

Excellent painting. The weathering on the panzer is spot on.
