King Harry the Lionfart needs a trusty adviser...
« on: October 09, 2019, 02:36:14 PM »
His Majesty is cogitating on crusading off to the Holy Lands to crack a few Saracen canisters!
As usual the Treasury's skint, so he's going with a minuscule but hand picked retinue. Think FF0fL, Song of Swords and Heroes or that Osprey Bard chappie's feverish scribblings.
So, in a great helm, wot's the very best white metal 28mm Crusader type figures to take along on the Lionfart's junket? His Nibs doesn't want any riff-raff that look like scabby Normans at an away match. He wants several proper Knights with them great buckets on their bonces, and those big white frock thingys with the red crosses on.
Can anyone advise please?

???

To be fair I'd looked at 'em. The separate helmeted heads and assorted shields make them very attractive. King Harry is almost off the production line...
Think Sharpey in a white frock!

:) I serpently will!  :)

King Harry (proper mental looking Christian Crackpot!)  is almost finished and I've ordered some 1st Corps Crudators to march at his side. Can you get transfers for the various types of crosses Crudators wore on their robes, painting Happy Harry's nearly drove me mental!!!???  :o
Saracen riff-raff have been gleaned, shifty looking shower, with bows and spears. What I need now is a Mad Mullah type bloke to inspire 'em. In keeping with the daftness I want a nutter either waving a Crudators melon aloft or frothing at the mouth over the Koran...
all suggestions for this chap will be gratefully received, as I know next to nothing about available figures for the Crusades.

:)  ???  :)

King Harry's seat, gleaned from fleabay for twenty five dumpers, other one I perused was three hundred quid!
Bit of painting and decorating and it'll fit right in with 'Carry on Crusader'.
