I can see the pics, looks very good. May I ask what 3D printer you have and how easy it was to learn to use? I've never used one but I am getting more tempted to get one, and yours looks like it can do some good sized prints. Ty.

I’m currently using a couple ender 3’s from crealty. It’s a good entry level printer for the money. I have been using 3D printers for over 30 years now so I have a bit of experience. I also currently manage a Penn State campus library maker space and have access to resin printers and other equipment. So some of the stuff is made at work from time to time.

Ahhhh, yes, much better when I can see the pics!

Fun table. That seems like a good fit for 3d printing.

That's a lot of xenos. Game over man...

How are you doing the red planet look? Pigments?

Not pigments, I am using "Basics" cheap paint.  Once dry a wash of sephia and drybrush of desert yellow.  Simple but effective.

I have the next week off for thanksgiving so there should be some more progress on this project.  This first picture just about sums me up after Halloween this year.

Best part about 3D printed terrain, you can just chuck it in a box for storage.

Worse part about 3D printing, when you get a spool that is messed up.

The hunt begins!

Found some new files on Thingiverse that I re-scaled for my project.

I do get a lot of questions about my 3D printing.  For terrain for the most part I get away with FDM printing but things I need detail printed its SLA printing.  How good of quality can you get.  Well have a look.

As you can see you can get some nice prints but only if you have a good file to work with.  As I said before the University I work at is extremely supportive of my maker-space.  This year I secured funding for a new vacuum former, Form 3XL(when it ships), and a plastic injection machine.  This is in addition to the 8 3D printers we already have along with our laser cutter, and other goodies.  Yes the students use these more than I do.  It helps that my maker-space is free to use and is for personal use as well.
