Large Tower Wheeled Miniature Cases/Trolleys?
« on: October 26, 2019, 12:58:43 PM »
Hi all,

Does anyone know of any vendors that sell large tower style wheeled miniature cases?

Or perhaps a (very) tall hard case suitcase that will fit foam trays?

It's kind of an essential item if I'm going to get my models from A to B for Partizan next year.

I really hope that something of this nature exists!

:)

I have a small fold-up dolly I use when I'm attending a convention and moving heaps of stuff...but I don't know if I've seen a dedicated wheeled case exlusively for miniatures.  Could you find a rolling suitcase in which you stack miniature foam?

Yea, that was what I was thinking. Ideally I'd like something that I can fit Really Useful storage boxes as they have a lovely flat bottom for magnetic basing and they are very solid.

The armies are quite large so I'm in a bit of a fix unless I can get something sorted out.

When seeing your request, I was immediately reminded of this guy I regularly saw at tournements over a decade ago. He always had this make-up artist trolley with him, filled with foam trays (and covered with very manly stickers of metal bands to avoid any confusion lol ). It was large enough to transport at least two armies in comfort.

Think something like these (the top ones):

I have no idea about pricing, sizing etc, but it might be worth looking into?

There's a shop just up the road so I could go along and check it out. :)

That’s the one I’ve used to transport RUBs around shows. Works fine, but do run a bungee strap or similar from the handle to the bottom to prevent the boxes falling forward when you stop trolleying them!
