We've recently had a trio of 6mm battles using l'Art de la Guerre in which Andrew's Triumvirate Romans have faced off against three different late Hellenistic armies for control of Asia. Warning - may contain dancing girls...

Great looking games and nice reports.
It's always better to post games when you have won (smug bastard).

I have never really been certain about these rules as most of the reports I've read seem to focus on turning flanks in a way that seems most un-ancient resulting in units at all sorts of funny angles.  Your game does not seem like that.

While turning a flank was certainly the key way to win in Classical and Hellenistic battles, we  favour the "Hey you over there! Yeah, you. Let's fight!" approach.

I mean, we generally try to have a plan that is vaguely historically sound, but we play the game, not the rules. I'm sure any competition gamer would trounce us in a couple of turns.

A fourth clash is now up on the blog, this time documenting a Triumvirate Roman clash with a late Seleukid army on the road to Damascus.
