Pavise transfers
« on: November 01, 2019, 02:57:32 PM »
Does anyone know of other manufacturers of transfers for pavises than LBMS Hussite tranfers and the Burgundian ones for Perrys merc. plastics? I really like the Hussite ones from LBMS, but first of alle they only fit Kingmarkers pavises and secondly they are very distinctly Hussite in their look.

It would be nice to field some troops with pavise without everyone being either Burgundian og Hussite, and my freehand drawing is not up to the challenge :D.

Cheers
Erik

EDIT: I misread your post.

Claymore Castings are probably your best port of call if you don't want Hussite or Burgundian designs

How about grabbing the heraldry, modifying in windows and printing it on transfer paper?

This sounds like a good plan.

This guy will do custom shields for you, if he doesn't have something you can use already:

Blimey! I forgot all about citadel 6. Unless I missed something I didn't see any transfers particular to pavises though?

Wow. Defenitely more than just Burgundian and Hussite out there ;).

If I were to try out making them my self where would one go to buy the transfer paper? Googling only brings me transfer paper for clothing thats needs ironing and I cant see my self ironing a plastic pavise lol

Thanks for all the good suggestions.

You should look for decal paper in scale modelling shops or ebay and amazon. They come in packs costing about 10 euro. They are Chinese offcourse. You can pick paper for laser printer or inkjet printer. If you have access to a laser printer you are saving yourself a step in the proccess. With inkjet printer you have to seal the print with varnish because the ink is water-based and tge colors will run when you deep the decal into water to activate it. There is clear paper and white paper. Dont mind with the clear one unless you are printing black. The colors tend to have low oppacity on it.
