Who makes a resin/mdf Medieval Church?
« on: November 02, 2019, 10:55:02 PM »
I'm trying to source an English style 15th Century Church and surrounding grounds.

I would prefer resin but would consider an mdf building as long as i can pimp it up and make it look like a resin model!

i'm not considering the Grand Manner offerings as you have to buy them pre-painted which is really too expensive. Especially since I love painting scenery myself.

Any ideas folks?

Hovels?

It's a really nice looking model. Do you have any idea as to it's dimensions?

I have it -- it's quite small for 28mm; I had to put it on a small hill so it wasn't overwhelmed by surrounding buildings.

Oh, it's back to the drawing board again then :(

I was wanting a building that would be the beginnings of a monastery I was planning on putting together.

Hudson and Allen makes a nice Medieval church, or at least used to. You’d have to run the gauntlet of the import tax and postal fee if you can’t find a european dealer though. Ebob used to have them, but I don’t think they carry them anymore?

Magister Militum have one: https://www.magistermilitum.com/bd9-28mm-medieval-parish-church.html

Thanks. It's much like the Adobe church kind of too small :(

Charlie Foxtrot Models

https://www.charliefoxtrotmodels.com/collections/world-war-2-europe/products/28mm-1-56-eglise-french-church-plain-wall-version

MDF, easy to change/ convert!

Thanks Phil  8)

It's a beautiful model but I'm beginning to get put off my all the modelling one would have to do following purchase.

"The painted images show the Eglise once it has been clad in plaster and textured. In addition, pieces of cardboard were used to thicken the sloping raised gables, make the inverted V on the tower to accept the roof and the raised horizontal pieces separating the roof from the walls."

As beautiful as it is; that is a hell of a lot of modelling afterwards to get it to look the part.
