GNW Swedish Headgear
« on: November 13, 2019, 06:13:18 PM »
Hi Everyone,
For my first post on the forum I have a question about Swedish headgear during the Great Northern War.
Would the tricorne and karpus be worn exclusively within an infantry battalion,or would there be instances of them being mixed in the same unit?
Also, would there be the possibility of two infantry battalions within the same regiment with one wearing the tricorne and the other wearing the karpus?
Any information will be gratefully received and greatly appreciated.

Andy,

The regiments were all issued with the same headgear. So both battalions would have the same and everyone in them as well. Of course on campaign you would imagine individuals would vary.
