The Battle of the Yellow Ford-Ireland 1598-Part 3

The final part of my series of posts on the Battle of the Yellow Ford is now up on my blog.
I intend to continue the Nine Years War theme covering the re-organisation of the English Army in 1599 and more battles from the War. There will also be a few posts on wargaming the period.
If it's of interest here's the link.

You're very welcome Romark.
It was an important engagement and one that deserves more intention. It saw huge tactical innovation employed and by any consideration it was fearfully modern for its epoch. If I've successfully explained what happened at the Battle of the Yellow Ford I'm satisfied and your comment makes the research worthwhile.

Excellent work - are you planning a book or anything like that?

Interesting stuff. I vaguely recall one of the wargaming magazines covered this battle many years ago but that's about all I can recall about it.
Oh and unless Im going blind - I could not find the Part 2 article of your three parter in the blog.

Thanks very much Baron, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I'm thinking about a book.
You aren't going blind MGH, I forgot to tag part two. If you click on the Yellow Ford tag on part three now part two will come up.
