Out on the Gaslands
« on: November 26, 2019, 10:18:42 PM »
Finished my first set of cars so I can hopefully get a game in around the holidays. I just need to source dice, tokens, and templates.

Looking good! From my experience, that turret minigun is a killer!

Great stuff! 8)

Your painting style is interesting and nicely uniform across the fleet of cars while still making them all look individual. And the terrain plus mat are looking up to the job too!

...From my experience, that turret minigun is a killer!

Not just yours; over here we decided some time ago already that Minigun Turrets are the most dangerous weapon in the game. Especially when paired with certain perks... :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks for the comments. I really like how they turned out, considering how quickly I was able to paint them. It took about an evening's worth of hobby time (~3 hours maybe).

I documented the process here: https://wyrdstonesandtacklezones.com/2019/12/04/gaslands-back-into-the-wasteland/

Thanks! I don't have a FB account, so not sure how they got there, but glad you're digging them.

Here’s another car...same technique. Knocking these out in an evening is a hoot. (sorry for the bad lighting in this photo)

Death Race gates on the cheap...wing twists from your local hardware store glued on washers!

Also, ammo and hazard counters...very cheap.

The race gates are nice. A cheap and cool looking alternative.

Really interesting and clever ideas :)
