Sons of Muzambe - Afrikaan United Nations 15mm scifi
« on: November 30, 2019, 10:02:28 PM »
2175 , Planet Nuerobi.
Armies Army minis (now The Scene)  + scratchbuilt vehicles ( already shown in another post) & air portable howitzers ( sprue & pvc)

I had seen a pic of them in red helmets & quite liked them, so I decided to do them in crimson. Quite detailed & nice minis.

The base material is another experiment.
Again ground florist foam as for the Kravak + white glue + paint. The grass is from an old felt covered notice board which had crisped with age & was coming off with patches. Lovely material for grass patches.

Thanks for your comments

Good god, man. I'm happy when I get 1-2 figures painted per week! lol

Great looking army there. Love the wheeled field artillery. Very effective little builds. Tires off of matchbox cars?

Thanks Cook,
The best way to paint I find is painting in batches 5 or 10 minis at a time a colour at a time .
As I said before ,having  undercoat & base coat beforehand ( sometimes even months before ) helps a lot.
That does not mean that I'm always painting, sometimes I just look at the minis for a month or so.

Something like that , I have loads of wheels from broken cars etc,

Yeah, I don't tend to paint armies. Not often at least.

Thanks Metternich.

Cook , I honestly would prefer painting warbands ... by for e.g. getting the different poses only ..... but things usually get out of hand  :D and I end up with small armies.
