Off the table this weekend an addition for my 7YW French Army, the La Reine Infantry Regiment. 28mm Front rank miniatures, which are a joy to paint

Lovely painting, great figures and an excellent choice of regiment “ the Queens Regt. “
If memory serves, the 1st battalion continued to serve in Europe while the 2nd was sent to Canada and served in the Fr. and Indian Wars , albeit with a change in waistcoat colour.

Correct, the first battalion only really seen service in one campaign, the second however were very busy in the colony, serving in most of the major clashes.

I have Regt La Reine for my French & Indian games. Next I should paint up Royal Rousillon as their blue facings will make a nice contrast.

My own La Reine, first of the FIW French regular units I painted, is not nearly so nicely painted.  Languedoc languishes awaiting paint.  Nice work.

Yes, I did have several armies once, Russia, English and French, plus some minor states but slowly I have sold them all, even had a Hanoverian range produced with some friends to fill the gap.

These French are the last army I have still to finish painting before I sell them too.
