Captain Nemo
« on: December 09, 2019, 09:28:13 AM »
I'm looking for a suitable figure to represent an Interwar Captain Nemo (in the style of James Masons Disney portrayal).

So far I've come across those attached in the pics but I'm looking for something with a little more movement.

Any ideas?

Brigade Games has a figure that might work well for Captain Nemo, the figure with the pistol would make a great Captain Nemo!

Pulp Figures has some great tramp steamer crews, including this one:

The bearded captain is still pretty static, though.

He reminds me of Nemo from the Russian TV version. If I could combine him with the pics I posted it’d be perfect.

I’m not sure if it’s the static posing solely. I think they all look a bit too old for what I’m after. They’re all really nice sculpts.

Can I remind people that the man's an Indian?

The OP asked for in the style of Disney.  ;) :)

You could paint most of the above minis with skin tones typical of the subcontinent if you were so inclined anyway.

For example, here's a few Copplestones/other figs you've probably seen in other contexts - with LAF's own Prof as a fellow from Goa! (did somebody say Broomhandle Mauser?)

You have a point.

LOVE Copplestone figures. I wish they'd expand into historicals with their 10mm stuff.
