Having a go at Inq28
« on: December 10, 2019, 09:13:54 PM »
As I take yet another tumble into some actual hobby time, I thought I’d try something new (for me at any rate!). I’ve been looking at the whole Inq28 thing for a while now, thinking that it looks like rather a lot of fun since I do rather enjoy chopping things up, wiring them back together and covering them in putty.

Taking that as the basic principle of the whole endeavour, I made this:

The first member of an as yet undefined radical Inquisitor’s private army/retinue. I thought I’d start gently with a humble scout type fellow who goes by the name of Zubin (pronounced Tsubeen).

Fun to make and I’ve tried applying the paint in washes to loosen up my painting a bit.

Thanks for looking.

Nicely done, as if straight out of the original Rogue Trader rulebook's world.

I like this a lot - he's got a real Wild West vibe which is perfect for the fringes of the 40k setting.

Where is the figure from?
Are there any more like it?

Cheers guys! The intention is for the figures to have a wasteland/cursed earth/Logans world feeling to them, so I’m glad it comes across.

@has.been: Thanks! It’s made up of parts from skitarii ranger, kharadron and sicarian sets with the body from a Cawdor ganger. I chopped and wired the legs to make him taller then sculpted on the layered ponchos and pantaloons. I’m currently putting another couple together so I’ll try and get some work in progress pictures this evening.

Politics, politics, recriminations, politics!

Well, enough of that, now onto hobby stuff!

I’ve been finishing up a sorcerer character for my radical Inquisitor warband, a psychic type fellow with a fair bit of collage/sculpting going on. I’m pretty pleased with his helmet, which houses some psionic booster gear and is probably of very dodgy Xenos manufacture. He’s also bedecked in the layered cloaks and ponchos commonly found worn by the Technomad tribes in the Inquisitor’s employ.

Also, here’s a WIP for another character who might end up as a gunfighter...... but still not sure yet. It also shows the height added to the legs since I want the Technomads to be quite tall.

Finally, a scale comparison shot to a ‘normal’ height figure.

Phew! So there we are, I’m hoping to get some paint on the sorcerer for the next post.

Thanks for looking.
