This is a theme that should have been (should be!) done in anime!
Chris's octopus camo or Ma. K. in general?   :)

Glossed and ready for decals.  Note the teal ID stripes have been lightened.  I think I actually like how the engine turned out.

That is nice.

The engine reminds me of the semi-sectioned V2 at the IWM.

Nice stuff (and yes, the snow base is perfect).

My wife cleaned up the dining room table and I cannot find the rest of the decals!  Here's what I have thus far.

Both the camp and the teal recognition bands work out rather well. The camp contrast in particular looks spot on to me.

Thanks for the compliments, guys.

Here we are, decals done (and hopefully straight!)

Next step is weathering once everything is dry.

Photo is with a flash.

With panel lines.  Gotta clean them up, add streaks, a few colors for those sensors on the canopy, and drybrush, then done.

Gloss removed, matte varnish added, maybe he's done?

Anyone see something I missed?

Thanks, folks.

Here is the latest.  I have 20 of these 1/76 (20mm-ish) AFS suits to do, now.  They are TINY.  I wish they were in 28mm scale.

Anyway, here's the first one, ready for decals, a color ID flash, and a bit of bone-colored drybrushing.

Also, rust and metal on the exhaust tube, lighter gold for the visor.

That gloss and flash make it look horrible but those will be gone soon.

Any advice?

Any ideas for the visor color?  I was envisioning gold like many types of sunglasses but that doesn't provide much contrast.  Maybe dark blue?  What do y'all think?  On the bigger, 1/20 AFS kits there is a person inside and the visor is clear so we can see him or her.  Not so in this scale.

Yes, I did. Thanks for asking.   ;D ;D ;D

Now we're looking for pieces of my son's partially built thunderhawk gunship. Sigh...
