Show me your game table for Hue.
« on: December 21, 2019, 02:58:02 AM »
Please. Just starting wargaming Vietnam and am interested in how others are setting up their table for fighting in Hue. I plan to use a 4x3 table maybe moving up to 6x4. 28mm is the chosen scale. I understand there were lots of fences and walls and that the streets were fairly wide.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Dan

My inspiration is the illustration in the Osprey Campaign book on Tet 1968 on pages 78 and 79.

Wide tree lined street, high walls between gardens at the back of the houses, low open walls facing the street. Buildings have a mix of  flat or pan tiled roofs

Due to my lack of skill, I am using Sarissa North Africa/Colonial buildings.

I have one of their triple size ones and another small one (for conversion to a shop).
I also have their secure compound.

I am thinking of using a couple of their North African compounds,  the ruined Adobe house (modified to match the Colonial ones) and the Ambassador's Compound.

Now, if someone would do the decorative walls...

That came up a treat. It is on my list of intended purchases. Is the Tuk-Tuk a Disney piece?
