Bit more progress this evening...
Looking a bit blocky for my liking at the moment, will introduce more of the thinner pieces into the mix.
Some of the joins will be masked later on, so will hopefully obscure the right angles that are bothering me a little.on the right hand side in the background is the start of a wobbly looking chimney.

see if you roll a handful of bricks between your hands you get bricks with more rounded edges

Once you start adding in all the biological components, those sharp walls will soften right up!

A labour of love, Matt. Knowing how good you are at terrain modelling and greening etc, I think it’s going to look great when it’s done

I was wondering at first about your masonry. You have totally convinced me
This really captures the abandoned decayed theme and is making me reconsider how to proceed.

What a dump...and this is the construction phase, not the destruction....
The right hand wall has a chimney with a bit of a disturbing lean on it.

Nothing says “derelict” like a leaning chimney
Looking good

Thanks...a bit slow for my liking, but I’m basically limited to a bit of time at the weekend. Probably should have brought a load of stuff with me while I’m away for work, but my car is pretty much stuffed full of gear already
My initial plan was to have a whole wall collapsed, but I’m thinking now that (despite their ramshackle look) the walls will be still standing, but with a piece of roof caved in....all dependent upon future progress.

I think the roof idea is a cracker, and possibly makes it a bit more useable as a terrain piece.
