Forgotten armies.

Not sure this is correct area, so please move if necessary.

Share your armies that you’ve started and never completed or long lost figures.

Because I’m getting ready to move next year I’ve started looking in boxes. These came from my mums where they have been for last 20+ years.

These are some of my latest finds. The Saxons which you can see on another thread and highland clansmen.

I can't. It's too painful. I would feel ashamed of my procrastination.

Okay I'll confess .
I've a cupboard at the back of my workshop with a Norman project that started back when citadel did Normans at £1.50 for a mounted and foot figure.
And a Turf fort glued to the wall.

This thread isn’t big enough, I’d have to take over the forum!

Starship Troopers !!!

I first saw the film and wasn't impressed. I noticed the starter box appeared and wasn't impressed either. Then I read the book. Some time later I decided to start with Starship Troopers. But now the boxes have disappeared from the shops and left me with some very unbalanced forces. So I soon lost interest. A few years later, I tried several times to sell everything and had to find out that nobody was interested. So one day I came up with a cunning plan! Instead of selling spaceship troopers, I bought everything I could get my hands on. So now I own really large forces and maybe one day they will reappear on the gaming table...

The adventure continues. Plastic esci napoleonic. Know I had these, but thought they had all gone to eBay. Apparently not. Second hinchliffe ecw, again they should have all been in the wardrobe in spare bed room.

I am not going to post pictures, but I have an American Paratrooper army for Bolt Action that I have not started and 3 Flames of War armies that never received any paint.  :(
Check out my site Must Contain Minis. I do news, previews, showcases and reviews of miniatures and miniature related products.

The twin peaks of my lead mountain are a Byzantine and a SYW Russian army. Both are 28mm and about 200 figures each (counting cavalry as 2 figures). I have painted about 40 - 50 figures in each to date.

The Byzantines started as a SAGA force. I went off SAGA and it has since morphed into a HC army and now latterly I am planning on a ADLG force for some of it.

The SYW Russians are intended for use with HoW. I feel I have done okay so far with a Hussar regiment of 12, 2 gun batteries, a battalion of 18 and a command base of two generals so. Just need to do another battalion for a basic starter force.

Just painting on so many fronts at the moment  :(

Forgotten armies...?

All of them...  :'(

In 33 years of hobbying, I think I have actually finished two projects/armies. The rest are in various stages of bare metal....
