But you also bring up a good point, with the US not fighting in Europe. That leaves Albertin Canada for all the refugees and Goverments in exile to retreat to.
I mean yes many would also head to the U.S. or South America as well. That would be a decent man power boost, but also a set back as the infrastructure would have to be bult over the 40s to accommodate them. So that would also slow down arms development and production. So maybe they start useing U.S. designs and equipment? 
I guess many of the Red leaning folks would try to go to Russia to help in their war against fascism.

But the big trump card the U.S. has is the oceans and the A-bomb. So there is some intrigue right there. The Germans just cant seem to get the science right and need more uranium.

Yep, thats why i see this idea as viable. Even in a police state.  I have also taken part in cordon and search operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. And have seen first had how effective and ineffective they can be sometimes.

True, i am guessing the Geneva convention wouldn't matter to the dudes in black. Would also be a good idea for a pulp style none combat game. Where the Goverment has been useing gas in the colonies, and the plucky reporter needs to get the information to the public.
And as a way to harden the insurgency when the village that they use as a base gets gassed.
But i will debate if i want to go that dark.

Always had a soft spot for EM2 rifles, no idea why...   might have a go at drawing/printing some...  I'll 28mm them up so they aren't too fragile.

I ordered a set of the British Grenader's from tbe boltaction k47 line. But those are pricy just to get a set of 10 rifles. 
So please let us know how they turn out.

It's a very interesting rifle,the original caliber  which was designed after much thought,and subsequently knocked on the head by NATO,especially the US who already had 7.62,is now the caliber which is possibly most useful within modern combat doctrine,and in itself was very close to the old 6.5mm Italian round. They did convert the EM-2 to 7.62,a round for which it wasn't designed for,and proved a bit of a handful.

Yep, and the US army is currently testing out 6.9 rounds and rifles at the moment as a replacement to 5.56 for combat units.
Of course i believe they'll adopt it, once it is actually accepted.
