GW paint lids are pretty much designed to dry out the paint...  :(

If you let paint dry out in the recesses of the pot, the pot lid closes, but not fully, allowing the paint to further dry, or even leak out.
https://www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/comments/7bpw8v/god_damn_citadel_paint_pots/

Eye dropper clogs drive me nuts, and, for basecoating, I often don't need a wet palette. Besides pots, I will drip paint to the cap of craft paint. Shake the craft paint to put some paint inside the cap first.

EDIT: I *do* find it more convenient to paint directly from the pot, particularly for basecoats and because I paint to advanced tabletop. When you have 30+ miniatures to paint before the end of the week, you look for ways to save time. I actually use colored primers and washes as my first coats, but that's another story...  :D

Indeed, first thing to do with all the citadel paints is cut through (or cut off) the stupid plastic hinge so you can properly remove the lid.

Very interesting.  Might be worth trying a few.

If you slide the plastic tube from your brush into the hinge that keeps the lid open nicely.

Designed to fail so your paint dries out and you have to spend $5 to $8 for a new bottle that can dry out again if it is good off the shelf in the first place.
Why is this still allowed to happen? Like Apple customers, GW knows that people will still buy the paint.  :-)

There's also Instar paint. Instar paints has a Citadel color-matching for both current and OOP paint lines. The paints come in a dropper.

Instar looks interesting.  I like the variable size containers.   Seems to be about half the price of GW. Sadly not available on this side of the pond or I would try it out.

You have a local US sales link?  Or are you shipping from the UK?

I tried some of the sampler sized pots they sell some time back and found them horrendous. Might have been a bad batch but they were that worst kind of paint where the pigment just kinda gets pushed around by the brush.   :(
