(KICKSTARTER) Sci-fi Dwarves from Macrocosm Miniatures
« on: January 02, 2020, 10:11:49 AM »

Macrocosm Miniatures have just launched a Kickstarter for seven Sci-fi themed Dwarves.
Funded and heading towards a stretch goal of a Human female, who’ll hopefully join the intergalactic adventurers their travels!

I’ve backed it. Lovely characterful sculpts and Chris’ casting is second to none.

Didn't we see the one in the middle of the front row, in a video clip on LAF?
Not that long ago & involved a song, Space Pants?
If it is him, can we expect his female co-star?
Would certainly get my interest.

It is indeed the same mini. They’re commission sculpts I made for Macrocosm and there is a human female on the way :)

Just backed this as I'm dabbling in Cyberpunk with Shadowrun overtones just now.

Not so crazy on the one with the odd hat. It looks like he's channeling Jayne from Firefly, but clippers and greenstuff will resolve that if need be ;D

Some of the Space Dwarves with a lick of paint. Two more are due some expert colouring from Here Be Goblins.

They picked him up on a Primal World. Once they convinced him to put some pants on he was then one of the crew. He mostly gets used to check derelict hulks first, just in case :)

Sci-fi Snow White stretch goal is so close to being unlocked. There’s going to be a suitably B movie type ogre following soon!

Cheers Inso. They all make a good group of minis. I’d like to see them take on an alien menace like genestealers.

To me, they have a more "Serenity/Firefly" look about them... like a band of mercenaries, travelling about the universe... Stealers would probably be a bit too much... maybe rogues and bounty hunters would be better opponents for them?

Very true. A good scrap on some Battle Systems terrain with another motley crew. Maybe over salvage rights, would be an afternoon well spent :)

Just noticed that a couple of early bird spots have opened up, presumably folk backing out.

It you were thinking about backing, but haven't yet, now's a good time to save a few quid  :)
