Superb!   I really like the understated, faded colour scheme you have gone for.

By the way, who makes the buggies, please?   They are a perfect fit for the Space Marine vibe.   Need one or two for my own Chapter if they are commercially available.  Thanks.

You are so doing a wonderful job on all of these oldies! 8)

Seeing you speed through an entire army like this is rekindling my appetite for finishing my own RT era SM army.

I too have a maniple of Robots to join my marines, but sadly still unpainted. I was going to use them as Terminators, but then; I was working towards using 5th ed 40K rules at the time, so by now, I might field them as something else instead (like, actual robots) ::)

Do you have the original robots, or will you be using suitable other miniatures?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks all! Hincmar, the buggies are Achillies Ridgerunners from Games Workshop - part of the Genestealer Cultist line. Same with the quadbike, it's a Wolfquad, part of the Atalan Jackals bikers box.

I sadly don't have original robots Daeothar, the plan is to pair some newer Kastelans with him and use him as a Datasmith(?) to lead them. If all goes well, the eventual role of Terminators is going to be filled with something else for me.

It'd be good to see more RT marines painted in general, they're charming, if quite janky, sculpts!

I'm finally free from painting Ridgerunners, as the 4th is now done. Still need crew, but soon hopefully.

Now I just need to wait for the 2 quadbikes to arrive and obtain the mounted Techpriest as well as two more suitable crew and the base army project is done!

To expand I'll be painting up, at some point, 2 robots, up to 5 more C100's (of which I own 3), and if I can get hold of any, the other 5 techmarines on foot. SHould all that be managed, then I'll consider the flyer and maybe other ways to expand. Essentially though, just 2 quad bikes away from 'done'.

They are very nicely painted.

They look surprisingly un-Games Workshoppy (except the hull's  resemblance to a deodourant bottle).

We're talking Rogue Trader here, so that shape is pretty much mandatory...  :D

Too bloody right, to do otherwise is sacrilege isn't it lol

Do like those ridge runners though, too good for the stealers  lol

I remember the builder of that deodorant grav tank being on this forum.

The grav tank will always be a classic. It was quite tempting to make one for the army after some suggestions of it.

I've recently been painting some fantasy chaotic warband members and a Blood Bowl team whilst waiting for the last bits of this army to arrive, and everything has now with the exception of a rider techmarine with pistol who I still need to source. However as I finished the BB team, it's partially back to these guys and I did at the least get a second quadbike painted today -

The medic rider's waiting for his turn on the painting bench and after him there's just 1 quad (and rider if I can nab one) left to go and this army is essentially 'done', though there are 4 more marines I could add...

This is glorious! Great painting, just really lovely stuff. The 32mm bases really compliment these guys - I wonder if it's the basing or the 'framing' that makes me think that?

Thanks for sharing them :)

I couldn't imagine that such different models would match so well. Fantastic work.
