The Vikings are coming!!!

The black Dragon ship, ‘Long Serpent’ has been seen entering the estuary, heading remorselessly toward the seaside village of Kleethorpe. Leading this band of cutthroats is none other than the great Jarl Putrid son of Putrid. With him is his Champion Thorkel the Tall and his Flagman. Standing at the prow of the long ship, frothing at the mouth, is the maniacal Bok the Berserker.

Rushing swiftly from his Great Hall the local Saxon Lord and his men head for Kleethorpe, the knowledge that his strongbox of treasures is hidden therein giving wings to his feet.

Unbeknownst to the Vikings Kleethorpe has treasure within it beyond the dreams of the most avaricious of Norse Jarls!!!

The crows rise from their meager breakfast, confident that dinner will be a magnificent feast of fresh meat…

I've got some scabby denizens for Kleethorpe. In FFofL they can make the game, running about and getting in the way, then distracting you from the prime directive till you've massacred 'em!

Lovely figures and table , btw , Harry . I haven’t got these rules but we’ve had great fun with the Lion Rampant rules . Dan Mersey posted some amendments , on his blog , to take them into the Dark Ages . I always enjoy your posts .

Zombicide has a set as well, about 10-12 IIRC. I use them as objectives.

Emerging from the shrubbery Putrid gives out his orders. Thorkel the Tall, on the right flank, will pounce like a wolf on the goat herd and snaffle ’em off to the ship. Putrid and Bok Bandylegs will storm the village ransacking the hovels for secrets therein., his other crewmen will hang about a bit outside to see wot happens…
