I like it alot!  :)  Are you using the Sheltrum deep sea diver figures?
Also interested to hear how you worked the rules?

I am happy to have seen this table in person; the scratchbuilt underwater plants add an incredible amount of the 'dynamic-underwater-feel' to the whole thing.

Well done and extremely creative, Tobias!

This is a great topic for a game.  Besides Sheltrum, Honorable Lead Boiler Suit has some classic divers in its "Flora and Fauna" section.  I got some great plastic undersea creatures at a toy store, but there's no divers to use them with because I'm still waiting for the Sheltrum divers that I ordered from Brigade Games back on December 5, 2006.

thanks for the comments.

Building the table was quite easy, i carved out some depressions in the
foamcore base to have a irregular surface. The came the hard one,
cutting and gluing cork into place. After that i glued some cardboard on
get get a nice border and filled the gap with filler.

Then i drybrushed all the cliffs after priming them black. The surface for
the sand was simply colored in a yellow tone and them sand for birdscages
was glued on.

For playing i added a good amount of small bases with stuff (18 Pieces),
plants, crates and such things (i call them "Battlefield enhancers" since
they offer nearly no cover and are too small to effect movement in a
significant way, but look very good).

Yes i used the sheltrum divers, i bought them at Salute. There i have
also seen the Honorable Leadboiler ones, but i like those chubby guys
from sheltrum more. Both companies don't mix very well i think.

I also had the "Aquatic Familiars", "Dark Maiden" and "Pearl the Mearmaid"
from reaper to throw in some fantasy.

The underwatermovement was quite easy, since the divers are only wlking around they had mormal movement rules as in .45 Adventures, except
that you could jump down the cliff with no ill effects. Climbing up the
small cliff was at Speed-1 (and no extra cost for the octopus pirates).

The fish used some kind of flying rules, quite simple and not as drastic as
they had to get into base to base contact.
I invented some new skills like "swimby attack" for the shark to fit in an
underwater setting.
