A call to the Holy Land
« on: January 07, 2020, 11:34:14 PM »
“Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong; that is your oath.”

So, inspired by my recent introduction to Fistful of Lead, and the collective medieval projects here, I want to build a couple of medieval war bands.

A favourite film of mine, Kingdom of Heaven is leading me to set them firmly in the mid crusades and I want to build my first band around the image above....my favourite scene in the film.

I have various Fireforge and Perry sprues winging their way to me......more soon.....

King Harry the Lionfart...

He's sitting in my cabinet. I've got half a dozen or so mini's from the forum painting swap. Not all Crusades though :)

that is my favorite movie, right above El Cid.  I have my middle age forces  based on vikings and saxons which can also be used as early reconquista christians in Spain and as early crusader infantry.  Add in some gripping beast knights, moor and plastic moor can and archers and it's on its way.  Good luck with the project.  Check out Schrivsland for inspiration.  Rick

This topic has our juices flowing.
Look what happens when you get a fun set of rules.
Looking at what figures we have around to get to the table to play against Digits.

So he is!   Nice one, I may have to order him.

Flatpack - to be fair, the guys on here (Captain Blood, Mamalute etc got there first....I’m merely stoked by what they have done.  If I get a few figures that look HALF as good,  I will be made up!  Their battle report using FFoL was the final straw.....I couldn’t resist!
