Agreed - those bugs are awesome. And those pig-headed folk are ever so slightly un-nerving.

Looking through such beautiful painting makes it hard to pick up a brush knowing my figures will never look half that good.  That's really marvelous work.

Those bugs look great! I must get or devise something similar as stand-ins for low-level dungeon encounters (stirges, fire beetles, etc.).
Thanks Hobgoblin. They're 15mm sci-fi bugs from Khurasan Miniatures.

I neve thought about the pigs helmets that way but I guess you're right when I think about it.

Thank you, but it's just a matter of practice. I don't have any of my earlier figures anymore but I know for a fact that they were pretty rough.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Well, I have plenty of time on my hands so I may as well keep painting. I'm still really getting into my renewed love of fantasy (although I never fell out of love with it... just didn't play any games for 30 years). These figures have nothing in common with each other. Just a bunch of stuff I wanted to paint.

There are some more pics on my blog and some ruminations about what I might do - https://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2020/04/a-bunch-of-stuff-with-nothing-in-common.html

I just had an inspiring stroll through your thread. I will have to do this more often. All your pieces are wonderful, but the new Wolf is especially splendid...a truly evil looking creature. OUTSTANDING WORK!

Thank you DeafNala. Yes, I picked up that wolf just the other day. Who says love at first sight doesn't exist?

Very nice indeed

Thank you very much.

The wolf and the cultist are quite striking.   Very nice work!

I started making some new terrain for Frostgrave but I ended up making ruins that I can use in Frosgrave and other games. When I say that I mean that I decided to not apply snow to the pieces. I did that on the earlier pieces I made and I think it limitls they use. I'll just sprinkle baking soda on the new ones when I need to. The pieces are pretty simple and I have enough to populate a 3'x3' or 4'x4' table.

Thee's more pics on my blog at: https://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2020/04/more-terrain-for-frostgrave.html

I also made this little pieces. I'm sure they'll come in useful sometime in the future.

Greetings, It's been almost 2 weeks since I last posted any new figures. I got a bit bust and side tracked with other things. That's said, I got a few new (and some old) figures painted over the past few days.

There's more pics here, on my blog: https://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2020/04/in-which-i-bear-all.html

It's been awhile since I posted to this thread. I got sidetracked by zombies. Here's a couple of new figures. I'm quite happy with how they turned out.

A Frostgrave apothecary from North Star.

A Celt from Eureka.

Reaper Black Bones.

Reaper - metal
