I'll second the Frostgrave Wizards pack - and, from the sprue photos I've seen, the newer Wizards II pack. You get a pair of sprues packed with pouches, bags, bottles, flasks, and such, as well as arms, heads, and four bodies (torso + legs). Well worth it even if the wizards themselves aren't all that interesting to you.

Look at seeds. In my early wargaming days I made some, converted AirFix, light cavalry
seem more 'on campaign' by sticking on seeds (apple, grape etc.) as sacks.
A small blob of Miliput / Greenstuff held on with a spot of superglue gel, can be modelled
into things like haversacks, knapsacks etc.

I tend to drill a small diameter hole and insert a piece of plastic rod to act as a key and then build up the detail in Greenstuff.

For square and rectangular pouches (ammo etc) I use plastic strip, again pinned as above. The end of the rod can then double as a a fixing (button or clip). Greenstuff is used to make it more baggy.
