A swashbuckling adventure, (Horsemen of the Apocalypse page 5)
« on: January 14, 2020, 11:15:27 PM »
So we're embarking on a fantasy/ECW role-playing campaign soon using the Clockwork and Chivalry rules.
Obviously I need some miniatures for when the fighting starts so I bought a bunch of border reivers from Hoka Hey miniatures. Wrong period, don't care, I like the miniatures.

Then I needed some player character miniatures so I turned to Reaper (and GW for my Luther Arkwright miniature).

Then I decided I needed some Landsknechts because...Landsknechts! So I bought some GW Empire chaps off eBay.

I've got some general-purpose medieval/renaissance buildings

But I needed a church so I decided to get the original Hovels one (in both happy and ruined).

Currently, I'm painting the cavalry. More soon.

Now, that's my kind of attitude!

Nice looking collection.

A really nice collection, I have a bunch of those reivers and they are nice figures.
Period accuracy is over rated! Besides it's a FANTASY/ECW rpg!!!! :D

Great stuff, good to see you back at it!

I have that Hovels ruined church, I think I purchased it around 1985 lol

Looks nice & I think you will have fun with it.
I have the church & it very useful (from Pike & Musket through to Zombies)
and I used to have the ruin, but sold that on as it didn't get many outings.
(Too many things & to little storage).

Certainly an excuse I've used a lot, too. By the looks of things you're off to a good start with this project. I really like the church and ruins piece of terrain you have as well. I'm interested to see what direction you take all of this.
