I thing of beauty. I am sure I'll be constructing something like it shortly. In my book your build is just as qualified as any other making it to rounds 2 and 3.

Totally,excellent build :-*

Thanks all.  :)

The standard of entries this year was outstanding.  I really didn't mind getting knocked out in round 1, as many others were also eliminated that could have gone further.

For a change, my BSC entry actually has a practical use so will see service on the table (once hostilities are able to resume).  All my previous BSC builds have seen little or no subsequent use.  I will try to take a few pics of the ruins in different settings/periods, even if not from a real game (yet).

Good to see the piece in play, nice work :)

Sadly not much else to show  :-[.  I took a few pics of the ruins early on in the game, then forgot to take any more as we became engrossed in only our second wargame since February.

Thanks Jeff. Hope you are keeping well.

Bit of a memory test, as I didn't record what I used. ::)

The groundwork/sand colour is mixed from cheap acrylic Yellow Ochre with a bit of Burnt Umber in it.  Drybrushed with cream, then again with some white mixed in, to match the rest of my existing desert-ish terrain.

The stonework is (I think) the Foundry Rawhide triad (11). Basecoated with 11A, liberally washed with GW Agrax Earthshade thinned with water.  After allowing to completely dry, drybushed with 11B, then 11C.  The foam blocks have lots of texture that the drybrushing picks out.
