Hundred Years War army update Mounted MAA 25/3/21
« on: January 16, 2020, 05:37:48 PM »
This year I am adding to my Early and late 100YW using predominantly Claymore, Old Glory and Perry and Crusader miniatures, I have around 350 figures to add to my English, Scots, Bretons and French.

I want to be able to fight the battles predominately in the west close to my house and relating to our wargamer "walk the Battlefield in the morning, Wargame in the afternoon" tours and wargame holidays in France. With that in mind a lot of research has occurred so I will name each écuyer and knight, plus where they fought and who they owed service too, when I can find it.

In addition this year I will Also be building a historical 15th century chateau for my TTSFN (total Terrain System For Now) table.

First figure off the desk for 2020 is a limited edition figure from Perry sculpted for Warhammer Historical.

Prince Edward the Black Prince. Quite happy with my result, although may go back and add socks or something to the horse.

On LAF I will add predominantly single photos, but if you want Historical  armorials descriptions of French, Bretons, Scots and English, plus orders of battle and allegiances, plus my some of my battlefield walks and chateau photos best to follow my blog Storm and Conquest.

This will be my main focus this year.

Lovely work Matt  8) 8) 8)

I've still got two sets of that Warhammer Historical mini's of Jean and the Black Prince.

They came free with the WAB supplement, Age of Chivalry.

I know I will, early 100YW is probably the project I’d take to the Desert Island.
That Black Prince is excellent and I’ll be following the blog with interest.

Thanks Janner,

I am looking forward to it also, about to kick off in serious mode, I prepared 60 anteluvian/claymore Scottish foot yesterday (glued on bottle tops) and undercoated 40 figures

Thanks, yes a project that I have been researching for ten years or so, I have armorials plus family history chateaus etc for western France, Bretons, Anjou-Maine and Norman lords and their allegiance to either the French or English Crown.

I hope I can, the research has been the tough parts I can replicate the great and minor nobles, my main painting will be for the Montfort - Blois fighting around our house and further south in our department of Pays de la Loire and Brittany.

During the lockdown I have completed compiling my research for the Armagnac phase of the 100 years war and started building my French Army concentrating on the battles close to our house using perry plastics and metals.

I will name each knight/Chevaliers and his fiefs plus the battles he fought in on my blog, just pictures here.

Full details here
