Just got this from Helion,have the British forces sourced,from the Perry's,just wondering which manufactures to source appropriate French opposition,compatible with the Perry's range?

Do Trent Minuatures do suitable French. I know they did a range of Haitians for the slave rebellion. Early Matt Bickley sculpts too.

Made a small start on some minis for this,Perry figures,naval troops from their Napoleon in Egypt range.
I already had some of these in my lead pile,along with some of their Marines so it was a logical start,more underway.
If anyone can chip in with any info on the French defenders,uniforms etc, I'd be most grateful.
As an example, I'm thinking of pressing some Perry AWI Southern Militia mins in as French island militia types,is this ok or a stretch too far

Have you looked at the Brigade Games French naval figures?

Just a thought, no idea if they are suitable.

Great start Keith. Who is that chap at the back? I don’t recognise him...

I’ve done a lot of these... The Brigade Games figures are by Paul Hicks, exceptionally nice, and scale in very well with the Perry range.

BG do French from the Egyptian campaign too, which I think would probably work for the West Indies too.

Halfway through,it's an easy read,lots of info on the Brit forces,not so much on the French opposition though.
Pleased with the purchase,only £7.48p incl postage with Helion, can't go wrong at that price, well worth it if you're interested in the period

Eureka Miniatures have a big French Revolutionary Wars range, some of their ragged French may work for your project?

Britannia Miniatures (Available from Grubby Tanks) do Napoleonic
Naval stuff. They are supposedly 25mm, but always were at the
chunky & big end of 25mm. They fit well with modern 28mm figs.
Have a look they also do things like ship figureheads, anchors,
crewman at the wheel and cannons. Well worth a look.
If you like any of them, give him a phone well before a show
& he will get the order ready for you. At shows his stall is busy &
the filing system 'interesting'.
